Skills/Qualifications/Prerequisites
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • A Degree or postgraduate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Sound reliability maintenance experience on large industrial machinery.
  • Demonstrated Performance and Experience in the field of Predictive and Proactive Maintenance.
  • ISO Level II Certification (Vibration Analysis)
  • Customer support focus and proactive communication skills
  • Sound PC software knowledge
  • Mature verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety legislation, processes and requirements
  • Able to comply with industry health regulations as required

Duties/Activities of Position

  • Using the tools of TQM and 6 Sigma processes, focus on the key elements including the VISION, the VALUES, the STRATEGIC DRIVERS and the STRATEGY priorities.
  • Provide predictive and proactive maintenance services including but not limited to vibration analysis, Laser alignment, Thermal Imaging, Non Destructive testing and dynamic balancing services to clients in the region.
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with clients by providing exemplary service, establishing and maintaining strong customer rapport and a professional corporate image.
  • Handle and refer client requests and enquiries for Reliability Systems products and services in a professional and timely manner.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and root cause failure analysis of damaged components detected through predictive and proactive maintenance services where appropriate for the designated fee.
  • Maintain equipment and instrumentation in serviceable order and report faults or arrange for equipment repairs as necessary.
  • Maintain an up to date records of client visits, costs, recovery. (timesheets, expense claims, etc).
  • Invoice all work carried out within two days of completion of the work and report.
  • When practical, provide clients with high quality predictive and proactive maintenance reports within 5 working days of on- site data collection. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Vibration, oil samples etc
  • Identify potential equipment faults and degeneration.
  • Provide on-site installation and/or supervision of permanently installed monitoring equipment.
  • Assist other company Reliability Engineers and Technicians with technical support, as required.
  • Ensure all work is undertaken in a safe and tidy manner and that all site rules of the client are complied with.
  • Maintain a clean and professional office and motor vehicle.
  • Miscellaneous duties as required.
