Our client is looking for a SharePoint Architect to join our clients consulting team. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the design/development of SharePoint deployments to include custom web parts, workflows, InfoPath forms, business data catalogues and other aspects of SharePoint.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop web parts to incorporate into SharePoint portal technologies
• Work with the SharePoint development team to incorporate technologies into existing solutions
• Collaborate with .NET development team on technical solutions
• Provide high-quality SharePoint consultation to business partners
• Demonstrate keen aptitude in acquiring business domain expertise
• Follow established enterprise development and design standards, guidelines and processes
• Ensure that all best practices and enterprise standards are followed
• Ensure deadlines are met, yet be forthright on progress and flexible
• Produce high-quality technical documentation
• Interact with team members at a highly professional and technical level

Skill Requirements:

• 10 years IT experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a SharePoint / Web Part Developer with the Microsoft .NET / SharePoint Architecture framework, making use of multiple data sources and ASP.NET technologies
• 3+ years developing MOSS web parts
• 3+ years developing custom web parts
• 3+ years of integration of varying data sources into MOSS
• 3+ years using Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010
• 3+ years working with Visual Source Safe or equivalent source control software tools
• Excellent database knowledge SQL Server 2008
• Microsoft MCTS (or similar development certifications) will be a plus

Professional Requirements

• Professional .NET / SharePoint consulting experience and background required
• Proven strong innovative and analytical ability with extensive implementation experience
• Must be a “team player” and have excellent written and oral communication skills
• “Self-Starter” that has the ability to work under general direction
• Ability to balance work across multiple SharePoint projects concurrently

Education:

• Must hold a Master/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other IT related field.

Citizenship:

• Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
