This successful financial systems vendor has been servicing the financial markets industry since 1993 and specializes in developing trading and risk management systems. They have a small but tight knit team here in Sydney who are currently looking for a driven and enthusiastic Technical Project Consultant to join.

Your new role will see you working with all of their existing and new clients (traders, fund administrators, prime brokers etc ) to assist them in implementing your system and setting up links between your system and their own. This role would ideally suit you if you have a background in IT combined with a post-grad qualification in Finance and a keen interest to combine the 2 in your future career.

To be successful in your new role, you will need to meet the following criteria :
Prior experience in a technical consultant capacity with the ability to gather and define requirements as well as work with technical teams to implement solutions .
Strong knowledge of financial markets (asset classes, financial instruments etc ).
A solid grounding in OO Programming (Java, C++ or C#), Databases and Unix/Linux
You would be expected to have a computing or engineering related Degree as well as outstanding written and verbal English communication skills
