You will be supporting the business aligned support team, providing key support to various Credit and Rates applications.

The role will enable the right individual to excel and develop relationships with many key business groups within the company. As you regularly interact with all levels of the business locally you will need excellent communication skills to demonstrate clearly your understanding of various business specific applications and troubleshooting their issues.

In this Application Support environment, multi-skilling is essential and this will give you the opportunity to work on a number of projects, excel your career. The position requires the incumbent to have previously worked within an IT application supporting role and be capable of working in a demanding environment that requires flexibility, excellent problem solving and strong interpersonal skills.

Essential Skills required:

• 2+ years experience in Application Support role in trading/financial markets environment
• Experience working within the Financial Industry, with a good understanding of trading terminology, business process, familiarity of Front Office & Back Office processing (settlements, confirmations etc.)
• Understanding of financial markets and products, ideally Interest Rate or Credits business
• Windows Support, .NET environment
• Strong database skills - SQL, Oracle
• Must have experience of providing Level 2 support
• Powershell is highly desirable or VBScript or Perl
• Tibco, Visual Studio, XML.
• Excellent communication required - verbal and written
• Proactive and Logical approach to problem solving
