Technical Business Analyst We have an immediate need for a Senior Systems Analyst with .NET development experience. This also requires someone that can dig into databases, code SQL, understands relational database modelling and can work very well with business users. Experience with XML, Web Services and insurance industry experience is definitely a bonus. This position is a contract position with our insurance client based in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have very good communication skills, be able to interface with the business on a consistent basis and be able to translate business requirements into robust scalable solutions that are user friendly. The user will be required to implement the requirements in multiple systems, one of which is a rules engine, and be able to validate they were implemented properly by digging into the database. Some development will be in .NET and a combination of .NET and SQL. The candidate must have full life cycle development experience as well as excellent skills in designing and architecting robust solutions. Job Responsibilities - Collaborate with business personnel to define requirements for projects
- Develop programming specifications, logic flow charts, and process diagrams
- Implement requirements in the rules engine and/or .NET and SQL
- Develop some applications utilizing .NET technologies - C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server
- Design and develop stored procedures in T-SQL
- Design and develop databases and queries for application's data access requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Installation, configuration and deployment of corporate systems
- Content management of new portal sites, Web Parts, InfoPath forma and other custom content
- Index propagation management
- Document library management
- Creation of portal application pools
Skill Requirements - 3-5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with business users, gathering requirements, explaining technical concepts in easily understandable terms with business users and converting requirements into systems specifications
- 3-5+ years of development experience with a .NET environment
- Technical skills must include .NET, ASP.NET T-SQL and SQL Server 2000 or later
- Solid understanding of relational database design and ability to code in T-SQL
- XML and Web Services are optionally strong skills
- A solid understanding and appreciation for Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities and follow through on tasks
- Excellent knowledge and experience at integrating applications into Active Directory and Exchange
- Any related certifications are a strong bonus
