Systems Engineer - Medical Industry - Sydney - Perm - Excellent $ (S35) As the Systems Engineer your role will be to roll out solutions for medical practices. This is by no means a conventional IT environment and will suit someone looking to move into a specialised field where you will be able to apply your IT understanding and skill set to this specialised medical field. You will be focused on radiology specialisation rather than general IT. You must have at least 2 to 3 years experience in an IT services and support field where your major responsibilities are:- - Requirements gathering, analysis and planning
- MS Windows 2003 & 2008 server builds, performance monitoring and installations
- RAID 1, 5 & 10 configuration and tuning.
- Desktop and power Workstation build and configuration.
- Peripheral installation, configuration and testing
- Dell Poweredge and HP Proliant server hardware configuration and builds
- Cisco switch installations and configurations
- HP & Dell Direct Attached Storage (DAS) setup and configuration
- IIS configuration and troubleshooting
- SQL 2005 installation and application database configuration
- Documentation
- Resolve technical issues that arise in a project environment which include server, desktop, printer, scanners, LAN/WAN and applications
- 2nd and 3rd Level server, desktop and applications support where required
You must also have:- - Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Sincere interest in moving into a specialised medical field
- VMware experience
- Initiative in spades
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience coaching and helping others to improve
- A Drivers License
The ideal candidate will also have previous experience within the Medical/Radiology sector and will have experience of one or more of the following :- - Medical site IT auditing including UPS, rack, server, desktops and peripherals
- Medical industry application install and configuration.
