Head of Projects
Sydney
Working for a household name you will be provided with the opportunity to lead a significant program of work for this global group. You will be be an experienced program head, having gained previous experience in a similar role, working for a med/large organisation. A great package and interesting project work are on offer for the successful candidate.

The Role:
Leadership in the implementation of the portfolio of IT projects and programmes
Ensuring project governance is consistently established and maintained on projects
Ensuring all projects are identified, prioritised and approved
Ensuring adherence to the Project Management framework and full life cycle project delivery processes
Monitoring and tracking the project schedule to manage interdependencies and key delivery timeframes
Effectively monitoring the overall PMO issues, risks and dependencies
In conjunction with the Finance Team, coordinating and managing the capital budget and project office financials
Tracking and managing project spend against budgets whilst maintaining project objectives
Managing internal communication and relationships with stakeholders and team members
Managing vendors appropriately in conjunction with Procurement
Providing clarity of roles and responsibilities to all team members and managing the recruitment and succession activities within the PMO
Mentoring and promoting growth within the team

To be successful in this position you'll need to have proven experience in the following areas:
At least 10 years experience in the IT Industry
Experience delivering large and complex programmes of work
Experience in IT operations, infrastructure or application positions
Knowledge and skills in project management competencies including scope, time, costs, quality, HR, communications, risk, procurement and integration
Leadership, coordination, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Experience in the retail industry
Financial literacy to forecast and manage complex budgets
Ability to lead and manage teams (20-30 people)
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work with business and IT executives
