Our client is one of Australia's leading banks who are currently looking to recruit a Murex Business Analyst. The role:
- Design, configure and test new products on the Murex platform.
- Contribute to the technical design and implementation for the interfaces required by the Murex Programme.
- Propose, design and implement approaches to improve/automate processes for configuring and testing the end to end Murex environment.
- Be able to gather and document business requirements, and design and develop solutions through a structured life cycle within an agreed timeframe.
- Work with project manager/clients to address changes to requirements.
- Work with clients/architect to assess technical and operational requirements of business solutions and their implications.
- Investigate and resolve runtime issues in expected timeframe and ensure issues are complete.
- Provide 3rd level support where necessary.
- Communicate the status of tasks to stakeholders in a proactive way.
- Update issue and project tracking systems.
- Follow release and change processes in the compilation and distribution of software builds and releases to development and test environments.
- Prepare and update documentation including system manuals, deployment and configuration instructions, test scripts and user guides.
- Manage development environments and schedules to ensure that these environments are appropriately configured for scheduled development teams.
- Deliver test environments to testing teams and manage the agreed test environment schedule.
- Work within a team environment to complete associated tasks.
The Candidate: - Exposure to financial market environment (Fixed Income, FX, Interest Rate Derivatives, Options, Equities etc)
- Broad capability across several of the following: Java/J2EE, Perl & Unix Scripting, C++, XML, WebServices plus database development with Sybase or SQL Server
- Exposure to system integration projects with complex packaged system such as Murex or Calypso.
- Strong knowledge on Murex MxML workflow, confirmation workflow, Real Time/end-of-day rate and trade migration from Legacy system to Murex system
- A strong appreciation for the practises and processes involved in producing high quality software solutions
- Good team player with great communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and capable of developing with different technologies
- Ability to work to and meet multiple-stakeholder deadlines
